Flowertown Bed and Breakfast, Summerville SC
Charleston, South Carolina was established in 1670, and is considered the top vacation and wedding destination in America. Back in the late 1700's many of the original Charlestonians discovered that a short distance away, upon a pine ridge, was an area of beauty and respite from the Lowcountry heat. The area was dubbed Summerville, and in the late 1800's the area was declared one of the best places on earth for the treatment of respiratory ailments due to the pine forest.
Summerville has a great history of hospitality and has been visited by many luminaries, including President Roosevelt and President Taft. Summerville is also affectionately known as "Flowertown In The Pines" for the many beautiful azaleas, dogwoods and wisteria that proliferate throughout the area. It is also said to be the birthplace of sweet tea!
Flowertown Bed and Breakfast is the modern day embodiment of the beauty and hospitality the area is known for. Flowertown Bed and Breakfast is a renovated 1889 three-story Victorian house that offers four elegant guest rooms with queen sized beds, private baths, fireplaces, WiFi and central heat and air conditioning. Two of the rooms also feature daybeds to accommodate additional guests.
Each room is tastefully decorated with an elegant blend of French and Southern styles, and connects to a bright and spacious sitting parlor. You will start your day with a nutritious gourmet breakfast served daily in our great room. For relaxing time, enjoy the porch swing or a rocking chair on one of our two Southern piazzas overlooking the landscaped gardens with fountains, bonsai and a water garden complete with Japanese Koi fish.
